Shreve & Co Palo Alto: My Most Disappointing Rolex AD Visit Yet! 😤
I had an absolutely terrible shopping experience recently, and I feel compelled to share my story as a cautionary tale for others. I've been to many Rolex ADs, and often times haven't been treated well, but my visit to Shreve & Co in Palo Alto was truly disappointing. I had hoped to find a friendly, knowledgeable associate, especially knowing how difficult it is to get a Rolex these days. Instead, I encountered sales associate, Brandon, who was frankly one of the least helpful associates I’ve ever met. He barely took the time to understand what I was looking for, showed no interest in my preferences, and definitely didn't offer any exhibition pieces for me to try on, despite my clear interest. We couldn't even talk dream watches. I left without any new hardware, and frankly, I won't be back. I felt so dismissed and frustrated that I had to leave this review and speak with customer service about it.
Customer: I'm calling because I had a truly disappointing experience at your Palo Alto store yesterday. I visited hoping to find an associate who would actually help me, but that wasn't the case at all. CS Rep: I'm very sorry to hear that. Could you please tell me more about what happened and who you interacted with? Customer: I encountered a sales associate named Brandon. I expected him to take some time to understand what I was looking for, especially with Rolex pieces being so hard to come by. But he was dismissive, barely showed me around, and didn't even offer any exhibition pieces to try on, which was incredibly frustrating. I left feeling completely unheard. CS Rep: I completely understand your frustration. That's certainly not the level of service we aim to provide, and I sincerely apologize for Brandon's behavior. We pride ourselves on knowledgeable and welcoming staff. Customer: Well, it certainly didn't feel welcoming. I've been to other ADs where service was poor, but this was particularly bad. I just expected a basic level of engagement and respect, and I didn't get it. I was interested in IWC pieces too, but he wasn't interested in that either. CS Rep: I'm truly sorry that your visit fell short of your expectations. This feedback is critical for us. I'd like to investigate this further and, if you're open to it, perhaps arrange for you to speak with our store manager, or connect you with another associate who can provide the excellent service you deserve. Customer: I appreciate that. Honestly, after that experience, I'm not sure I want to step foot in that store again anytime soon.
The reason I left this review on the website is to hopefully prevent others from falling into the same trap and to highlight the unacceptable level of service I received.
